The FeMC Mod Complete?
Wondering if the mod is just a reskin only or if it includes the story changes mentioned in the P3 Portable version? What differences are there between what the mod plans and what the Portable version changed?

Just reskin

If we had a game workshop for this game, including resource and event editing functions, etc., it would be very easy to add resources and events for the female MC. Atlus may have such a tool, but only uses it internally in their company.

Over the years, modders of other games have proved this again and again. When they have such kind of tools, they can easily add characters, stories and events to the games. So the official announcement "cost would be too high if we add a female protagonist" sounds more like an excuse.

Please don't change the topic, I just want to know the overall scope and progress of the FeMC mod.

Ok if you think this is off-topic, I will express my opinion in other posts.

Currently speaking, it seems like it has a lot of progress. Although it's mostly a reskin, they're implementing voice acting. They're also trying to add the right pronouns whenever they're referencing to the FEMC.

I do have a feeling that this won't be like P3P. So I can't say that you should expect romance with Ken for example.

Next time you could just google the progress.

There are still some hard limitations that the team has to crack before the mod can progress to something like a true FEMC route.

Regardless, we recently had the anniversary update and the lead had this relevant bit to share; lightly culled:

... Now, a year later, my original goal of 2d and 3d assets, has been reached, and blown out of the water really. We have every 2d asset replaced, 3d asset replaced, along with custom music, custom voicelines, gendered audio, a plethora of options for 2d assets, and even more on the way.

Over the next year our focus will mostly be on custom animations and custom events. Custom animations are fully figured out, and slowly being worked on. Custom events are still a WIP, but proven possible, and scripts are being written in preparation, along with assets being made. Plans are also underway to revamp the github very soon, to move some things off it like raw files onto another repo so people can download the whole repo without like a gig of assets. These plans also include making it very easy to contribute various assets such as 2d, and to make your own costumes for the mod, to encourage people working on the mod, and getting into P3R modding in general.

As a final note, I want to give another heartfelt thanks to everyone who's contributed to the mod. The mod and the community around it are something I am extremely proud to be apart of, and I am looking forward to what we all make this mod into over the next year too. While the patchnotes for this update are small, the progress we've made over the year is not.
