Metaphor is made on an in-house engine which they have abandoned and now shift their games to Unreal Engine of which Persona 3 Reload and Shin Megami Tensei V were actually the test mules for that. Metaphor was in development long ago (right after Persona 5) so they were stuck with their old dated engine, it's too late to switch engines in mid-development since 2016.
Would of presumed they'd remake/remaster the DDS games first, since they had higher ratings, or the sequel did.
Although I guess if remade, those ratings wouldn't be that relevant.
Yup, expect it to be announced in June at the Microsoft event.
It's already available on the Switch. There's a chance they might port over the higher res textures and the like for Switch 2 at which point they might do a demo.
