The Joseph Anderson effect
Good enough to green-light the remake of the P4 anyway. Beside is stupid to not put a demo on Steam nowadays, people want to test the game on their Steam Deck before buying it. But the real reason the demo exist is probably the Switch 2.
It sold over a million in less than a week
i wish atlus would put more care into the anti aliasing because its kinda bad for metaphor and persona looks ok,but hey good thing is that where getting a devil summoner remake/remaster!!

demo mean to gain more new player, not because the sale was bad. Since P4G or P5R don't have demo, it's nice to have from P3R so more new player can try the demo before spending tons of money, i mean this game ain't cheap on steam even with 30% discount

Good sales, but og P3 had some cult following, not the same impact for p3r here unreal engine may be the curlpit, but even with the same flavor I dont mind a p4r at all, didnt played golden version on vita/PC only ps2 masterpieces.

metaphor has a demo too, doesn't mean nothing but trying to hook you for you to buy it

Metaphor is made on an in-house engine which they have abandoned and now shift their games to Unreal Engine of which Persona 3 Reload and Shin Megami Tensei V were actually the test mules for that. Metaphor was in development long ago (right after Persona 5) so they were stuck with their old dated engine, it's too late to switch engines in mid-development since 2016.
since when did demos = sales being bad

Is odd that there's no P5 demo.

Would of presumed they'd remake/remaster the DDS games first, since they had higher ratings, or the sequel did.

Although I guess if remade, those ratings wouldn't be that relevant.

oh man i really hope they do the digital devil sagas after this and then HOPEFULLY we can get a steam version of SMT4/A as for more persona im kinda all set with those i like the mainline series better.

maybe they made the demo for switch 2 and decided to release for all platforms?

Most reasonable comment in this thread.

So a demo for Persona 5 might come later, if also ported to Switch then.

It was the fastest selling game in Atlus' history. Do the math.

Yup, expect it to be announced in June at the Microsoft event.

It's already available on the Switch. There's a chance they might port over the higher res textures and the like for Switch 2 at which point they might do a demo.
