I don't think P4 was the "wokest game of the 2000s". OK; it had a gay guy struggling with his masculinity, and a girl struggling with her femininity. But both were handled in ways that were appropriate to the characters and story instead of being hamfisted and shoved down your throat the way the West handles these topics.

However, I'm willing to admit I probably have some rose-colored sunglasses when thinking about P4, since I played it before sexuality was shoved into EVERYTHING. If it came out as a brand new game now, I'd probably hate it and think it was pandering. The reason it worked at the time was because it very clearly wasn't pandering.

P4 wasn't woke at all. Plus P4 doesn't need a remake because it is fine the way it is in terms of story etc. However I wouldn't mind if P4's graphics was updated.

I actually do see them removing Yosuke's teasing, that hasn't really aged well. I doubt they'll make any main character trans or something, especially not Naoto 'cuz that would completely go against the point of her arc

P4 has quite a "politically incorrect" humor, which I like, I think that if they make a remake, it will be censored, the almost homophobic way in which Yosuke treats Kanji, the scene at the camp, scenes with the female protagonists in the other dimension, etc., they are going to change all of that unfortunately.

P4 Golden, it is not Woke, nor DEI, they are old games (PS2 era), that terminology and that political ideology is not yet in video games, fortunately
