Bluescreen
Hi.
I'm having an issue with the game where it just crashes my pc with a bluescreen. It always occurs at the exact same dialogue.

I tried other compatibility modes, launching as administrator, i changed the display and graphic settings but no luck.

I finished p5r a few days ago and havent ran into any issues there.

Does anyone know what could be the problem here?

I read a lot of similar threads about crashing, and most if not all, can be solved by uninstalling the windows update of KB5045594.

I did that too because the game wasnt launching at all actually and it fixed that issue but the blue screens still occur

I see, is the dialog that you mentioned mandatory? or try see doing other things first? (eg. delayed to another in-game day/time, fight a few battles or level up etc)

Did you also tried to fast-forward (skip) when nearing that dialog to see whether can it be by-passed?

i've tried with countless methods to uninstall KB5045594 but it just won't, it says it's mandatory and can't be uninstalled, after reinstalling frickin windows the uninstall function appears but it fails so it remains, i'm desperate atp

You could try clean installing your drivers using DDU. Other than that you might have to wait for the next Windows update to fix things, assuming the BSoDs aren't being caused by a bad system image or a hardware issue.

Adding on since I didn't realise a lot of the issues are being reported from people running Windows 10 with the latest update. If you can't roll it back then it might be worth considering upgrading to Windows 11, though I've had to disable HAGS since it seems like the latest Windows update broke it.
