why is ken amada so unpopular

ken amada was my favorite character in the whole game and i really liked his events. i have not found anyone who shares this opinion. why is he so universally dismissed as annoying or one of the worst party members?

Likely a holdover from the OG Persona 3 where he wasn't very useful as a party member. Reload really gave him a mechanical glow up.

Maybe im just out of the loop but im pretty sure people like Ken, I personally always thought he was a great member of the team with one of the best arcs

He was a pretty bad party member in the original and a lot of people blamed him for Shinjiro's death.

ken being a romance option is messed up. why can you romance a 11 year old boy as a 17 year old girl? i have never played portable but i heard his romance path is avoidable if you want to complete his social link. but why would they make him a romance option in the first place.

A lot of people used to blame him for a story event, and the fact that in FES he wasn't the strongest party member, no AOE and his damage wasn't that impressive as he lacked a natrual Elec Boost for Ziodyne and his Strength stat made Vile Assault practically useless on him

Portable made him worse by making him replace Hama Boost with Primal Force, which made his Hamaon even less reliable than it already was
