The fact that they did not change anything in remake, i think they will keep the answer as the same.
so we can hope they change it a bit
The Answer's ending was fine. The only real big issue there is that they wanted to have the team fight each other at some point, but they also split the team into doubles that don't really make sense.
Give a reason for one of them to side with Yukari too and you've fixed its big issue.
But the ending itself leaving the main character as a door that isn't revived instantly makes way more sense. Reviving him is what would actually ruin the point of 3.
The whole point is that you can't just stop Erebus without stopping the collective desire for death. Which, thematically won't ever happen for the entire world and the main character will still forever be trapped there.
Its about moving on from him, not bringing him back. And its definitely not a case of "the main character could just have killed Erebus instead" since it can't die.
I really thought about Aigis since she wanted to protect him and though out the story you saw her grow more and more human and she even gained the wild card abilities during The Answer. I really thought that could have been a possibility.
