Was Kenji actually dating the teacher?

I always saw it as Kenji just being a dingdong and jumping to conclusions misreading the whole situation. His whole social link it felt like he was out of touch with reality and was only seeing things as he wanted it to be.

He was complaining that she only wanted to see him at her house and don't wanted to do outgoings datings. And the scandall was enough to make her need to get transfered to a distant school, but not to be fired. So I guess it wasn't physical yet, but yes, it was a cheating.

Not sure I agree with the cheating part. For her to be cheating that would imply that there was a relationship going on. I honestly believe she was only trying to help Kenji get more serious about his studies and future and he was taking it the wrong way.

With that said I will concede that it is odd a student would meet with a teacher at her house though and this could bring up a lot of questions. This isn't a practice I am familiar with as when I was in school you either stayed after class or school at the school to talk with teachers for advice or additional help.

The entire relationship didn't exist. Kenji mistook everything in regard to his interactions with her. He went to her house sure, but to the teacher it was to tutor him. She only left the school because he went around blabbing about them dating when they weren't to begin with. He's an idiot.

She didn't have "fiance" when Kenji hit on her. If you were paying attention, you would see that Hermit Maya said that this teacher bragged to her "some student asked her out and a guy she doesn't like proposed to her"

She didn't have "fiancee" when Kenji hit on her. If you were paying attention, you would see that Hermit Maya said that this teacher bragged to her "some student asked her out and a guy she doesn't like proposed to her"
So there is no way she was in relationship with him before Kenji tried his move on her

What I pay attention is when Hermit Maya said She wore lots of pads to make her looks sexy

Tbh he kinda jump the gun. The teacher even said that in rank 8-9 she did that for her own record. Everything else was Kenji naive thinking. Unless they had sex but knowing Kenji and his loud mouth I don't think they ever had sex.

Yes, though since Toriumi can't stand Emiri trusting her as an entirely objective and accurate source on the matter would probably be a mistake (in fact the two are supposed to be opposites of each other).

Pretty much. If you put what Kenji and Toriumi say together, Emiri responds to Kenji asking her out by inviting him to her house for 'personal tuition'. There's no implication it ever went any further than that though - from what Toriumi (Maya) tells you Emiri is simply stringing Kenji along because she loves (male) attention. In fact Toriumi strongly implies the only reason Emiri retains her position is because she's popular with the male staff. Given the relationship between the two women that's probably exaggeration to some extent, though it is clear from what she tells you that Emiri gets a kick from people who find her attractive.
So in all likelihood Emiri was basically leading Kenji on as a means of boosting her own ego, Kenji naively thinks there's more to the relationship than there actually is, and his bragging ultimately leads to Emiri having to switch schools to avoid a scandal.

You see from the end of his social link that she was never into him, just sort of playing along with his delusions for fun until it went too far and Kenji started taking it seriously. There was never any indication they were in an actual relationship or did anything besides private tutoring sessions which only further helped Kenji believe she was interested when she wasn't.

The whole point is that Kenji is a dumb teenager who read way too much into things and got a bunch of misguided ideas in regards to a relationship and future with a women who in reality, didn't even care for his existence outside of enjoying the attention.
