It means you have a Temperance Arcana Persona card on hand and because of this, you will get more social points towards unlocking Shinji's passive Theurgy enhancements. There are a few other times where having a Temperance card on hand will enhance your social status with others as well. I think they always apply to the link episodes.

this must be a bug honestly, because i did not have a temperance persona on me at the time

it means that you will get a boost in the social stats that you get that day. that is how it works the temperance arcana.

It means that yesterday during tartarus raid you got Temperance Major Arcana card. It will boost your social stat (courrage, charm, academics) bit more during your current day.
