5V is Nocturne Maniax, Strange Journey Redux, P5 Royal, P4 Golden. Only now you pick between either going through the original story, or a new story that deviates heavily half way through.
So it almost seems like a remake where they get the chance to modify the second half of the story completely to match its original potential.
Btw I was only mentioning 4A because I really didn't like how different it was from 4, tone and story wise
But man, looking at SMT 5, P3R and the upcoming Metawhatever game makes me wonder what the hell they were doing with Soul Hackers 2. I had such high hopes for it too.
Looking forward to grabbing it here and giving it a second, proper chance!
Aww I didn't think it was that bad. The dungeons are the only thing that objectively sucked, I really enjoyed everything else. Having a voiced protagonist (Who was an absolute boss and who has a great personality) was a huge win also. Got my 100+hrs worth.
Ringo and her gang deserved better.
Oh god those teleporter sequences in the mind palace were the worst, I pulled up a walkthrough on that section. I guess I don't blame you if that was the tipping point
Now lets hope for even more ports of megaten games.
Hopefully they will free SMTIV and Strange Journey from their portable prison one day.
I say bring it all over to modern consoles and pc.
We can see where that goes.
