It's the same way as the original P3,I'm glad that they don't change the story.

i am glad tartarus still has 264 floors

Each floor is small and short, I always feel Tartarus floor is not big enough and I can completed each block(about 10 floors perhaps) in just 1 night.

Personally I would like to have had 36 more floors because 264 is just an odd number to land on. Bonus points if the Fiends could have been a boss rush for the last 9 floors.

Imagine complaining about the core gameplay in a version where Mitsuru doesn’t cast tentafaroo when everyone in the party is below 100 health…

Well yeah, you'll be going up throughout the game though, and each floor is pretty short

Yes, to fight the final boss you have to reach the final level dungeon level of the game. Shocking game design I know.

I wonder if it's a sign of a Zoomer if they're distressed at some of that old-school JRPG design. For its time, I thought Tartarus was pretty relaxed. I remember games like Xenogears that slapped you with random battles after a few footsteps. Think DDS was that way too. Compared to that routine, Tartarus was a breeze to me when P3 came out.

Its not about difficulty, its just tedious and boring doing same thing over and over and over with few different level varieties.

They all paled in comparison to Wizardry.

That's generally how games work.

I understand ~ Well, let it be insight into what could be considered a bit relaxed back in 2006, I suppose. Of course, by Persona's current standards, Tartarus is rather tedious. P5/R's almost-nonstop yakking is more tedious to me.
