Why expansion pass inaccessible in my region?
It was the same with the game release. Even if they made it inaccessible at my region until the game relase, they still sold the game with same price with other regions. if they sell with the same price what is the reason?
edit: I bought the game 70 USD dollar which is same price all around the world not with my currency. I cannot buy games from steam with my currency since steam changed it to USD dollar.

I think they do it when a currency is unstable. Nobody wants to hold an unstable currency for an extended amount of time, for obvious reasons.

It's currently available in the Xbox store, and only the Xbox store. PlayStation and Steam owners have not gotten a release yet, for some reason.

You missed the point. If the value of a currency changes frequently, then it could lose value before you spend it.

If I give you 70 USD, but then the value of USD decreases before you can spend it, then you've just lost money.

What currency do you use?

Sorry for misunderstanding. They sell as a dollar in my region! I can not buy the game with my currency , I bought the game 70 dolar exactly not with my currency. So it is irrelevant to my currency.
I also pay more everytime to change my money to USD

What dollar? There are more than 25 currencies in the world called "dollars".

I can only guess SEGA has region locked purchases based on currency.

It might have something to do with the fact that not all of the content for the expansion pass is out yet, so perhaps they're internally considering it a pre-order of DLC and this is standard protocol to prevent value loss while they wait to receive the funds from Steam? Steam lets you cancel a pre-order at any time before launch without question, so it's likely that Steam holds the funds until the game's launch, which could result in value loss by the time SEGA actually receive the funds.

That's just my theory anyway.

Hmm it is strange that only company doing this that i see is atlus. It could be understandable if they sell it with lower price... Actually steam recently changed buying currency in my country, before i was buying games with Turkish Lira which is very unstable currency. My teory is that they banned pre order from my country but they forget to fix it once steam changed it to usd dollars

That's probably it. My guess is that the region lock will lift once all of the content is available, but that won't be until September.

Unfortunately I think all you can do is hope someone at SEGA notices your region uses USD on Steam and changes their policy. The only other thing I can think of is seeing if you can get a redeemable key, but those are usually obtained through third party services, and I don't know if it'd work.

If it makes you feel any better, everyone else is waiting for Episode Aigis as well. Right now all you get with the expansion pack is some more songs to use in battle.

Same thing is happening to me. I was waiting for a key from a site to buy the expansion pass but it is not available. Now I think we can only wait until September to see if maybe they’ll make the expansion pass available to us.
