Do we think this will go on sale for Spring?
Basically the title. Game is too expensive atm but I'm dying to play it. Don't really want to use...those sites so just wondering what people think. I don't typically play new releases so I'm unsure as to what the standard practice is. And I know Atlus is scummy in their monetisation so it will probably be a while. Just wondering.

This is difficult to guess. P3 Reload is the first traditional Persona game to hit the Steam market at the same time it hit the PlayStation market. Previous titles had fast sales due to the PC ports being late.
P5 Tactica has a -25% discount during winter sales and a -35% discount during lunar year sales, with a release date in november. Note that the game had far less success than P3 Reload, and remains a niche spin-off.

P3 Reload being a mainline game, the discounts will probably be less important, but I don't think you'd be wrong to expect a -20% discount around the summer sales (next june iirc). Given its success however, a discount this spring seems unlikely.

I can wait until June, but SMT V Vengeance also comes out then. Atlus really have us by the balls this year. Thanks for your response.

Forgot to mention it, but P3 Reload (without the upcoming DLCs) is available on the Game Pass if you just want to try it out, regardless of having it on Steam or not

You can buy it right now for $50 (30% off) on one of the key sites. https://gg.deals/game/persona-3-reload/

Or just play on Game Pass.

That site includes questionable sites from unknown resellers. Even if nothing has happened to you, something could still happen to anyone else. Its probably better to keep an eye on Isthereanydeal website instead. All of the sites listed on that are trusted 3rd party sellers that get their keys from the publisher.

Before SMT V V release? Kinda hard since P3R is Atlus fastest selling game. My best guess would before the release of Episode Aigis. P3R in the end is still a JRPG turn-based game, a niche genre. 6-7 months full price is enough, a discount before Episode Aigis can boost the sales numbers.

Not a good idea because if you didn't like this version of the game or it you have trouble running it on your PC due to performance issues or the game is crashing you CANNOT get a refund if you purchased a key from a 3rd party site. I'd rather play the game off of gamepass rather than purchase 3rd party key that you don't know if it's form a legit vendor or not.

Yeah also with me I'd rather get my keys from Steam itself because of the refund policy they have in place. Also them 3rd party Key sites more than likely don't have any refunds.
