How did theurgy skills worked in the original versions of Persona 3? I don't remember them at all in FES?
Granted it was a very long time since I played FES, when I started playing Reload I thought the theurgy skills were new. But when I was watching a youtube video comparing some of the abilities from the old version with the new apparently they did exist in some form? It's mainly the theurgy skills that the MC can use, I didn't see any of the theurgy skills the other party members can use in Reload so I am guessing those are completely new?

Persona fusion skills the MC used. In the original you needed the persona in your team to use the skills.

In the original there was only the ones MC uses. In P3P they're turned onto itens that could be purchased at the antique shop. The other members' theurgys are all new.

The fact that you needed them in your party is probably why I don't remember that mechanic in FES lol

The fusion spells are, in some form or another, nearly identical with the originals. Some fusion spells were cut, presumably because they are redundant. Although Thunder Call and Ardhanari are ones that we are confused as to why it's removed. The only difference roster wise is Ares is replaced by Mithras for the ones that remains.

You must have both of the fusion spell ingredients in your party in order to perform the spell in question. They take off percentage SP (like how Phys does with HP). And they can be influenced by Spell Master.

The Theurgia of some of the members are direct references to some of the IK moves they have in Arena. Junpei's and Yukari's are the most blatant with these.

Shame they didn't bother remaking some of the fusion spells to fit this game. Having close to 20 theurgies makes fusing more fun to see what you'll get.
Summer dream was a pretty fun theurgy that either helps you or screw the team entirely.
