P3R seem be in first case and I'm fine with that, if you don't like it, don't pay them. Simple as that.
And it's not about them releasing DLC, it's about them blatantly lying about it. I don't care if they launch Persona 6 and after a year they go the Royal route, as long as they don't tell us that they won't do it only to turn back on their word. But i guess they won't change, because dumb people are always willing to give their money to dishonest companies as long as they enjoy the game.
I too would've obviously wanted it to be part of the base game, who wouldn't, but where exactly did they say they had no plans for a future DLC? At this point with any SEGA title I'm expecting an expansion pass if the game is expected to do well enough. And like the other person said, p3re is still what it said out to be, they didn't lie to you about what the game was offering, you bought into it knowing what you were gonna get. Sure DLC sucks and all, but at least it's not a full price re-release like they're accustomed to. It's a lesser evil, as they say
P.S. You have to remember that every article you read is most likely a japanese to english translation of the Q&A the news site did.
I guess i just need to get used to complete ATLUS games being worth $100, waiting 2 years for a Royal and then another for a price drop since it's just "regular practices in the industry". No real point in arguing anymore since we clearly disagree, but that's perfectly fine and i don't take it the wrong way. Cheers
persona 5 came out in 2017, its been nearly 7 years
this is a disappointment.
