Great Clock
Does it trigger only once per night, or can trigger it multiple times? So far, I can't trigger it more than once per visit, regardless of how many locked chests I've opened.

It's once per block per night

To summon the great clock you can trigger it multiple times at anywhere using the locked chest (Other then the ones found at the checkpoint terminal). However, the cost of twilight fragment is expensive for additional use. Ex: first attempt 7 +(1-3 for chest) twilight fragments, second attempt 14 + (1-3 for chest), and third 21 etc. The reason it is seven is because I used the starting healing clock tower and for some reason opening the locked chest was the only way to activate it. If it doesn't match up do tell still testing it out but worked for me.

He means the EXP Clock

I know, I mean to summon the exp clock you need to use twilight fragments and the locked chest. For some reason when I only unlocked locked chest it didn't activate, whereas if I used the healing clock and open one locked chest it activates. Since I believe to summon the exp clock it requires twilight fragments spent and being in a dungeon floor other then the checkpoints/terminal points.

you can trigger it more than one time, but you need twilight fragments and locked chests to trigger it. I've triggered 3 times in one night but is RNG when you are going to trigger it.

I have a question although I'm assuming I can answer it myself, regarding the Great Clock. The party members I want to level up have to be present in Tartarus right? Like rn Junpei and Mitsuru are absent for story reasons and I want to level them up but I can deduce from common sense that I can't select them bc they're not able to be put in my party

The boost doesn't have to be used in the same session. If you choose someone who is not available for story reasons, they will still level up the next time you win a fight in Tartarus with them in the active party.

so you're saying the effect of the great clock carries over between different days? cause this article says the exact opposite

Based on my own experience it carries over. I used it on Aigis when she wasn't available in December and she gained multiple levels after one fight when she joined back. The only limit seems to be that the great clock can only boost a character by a maximum of 13 levels.

Rule of thumb, NEVER take GameRants words as law, they almost always just copy from others and almost never fact check anything.

Their myriad of articles on BG3 has so many wrong/missing info it can be its own section.
