Question About Major Arcana Cards

So for all the Major Arcana cards you get that increase your stats while exploring Tartarus, are the stat increases temporary or permanent? I've been especially hesitant to choose some that increase HP and SP because it seems like such a waste of a card slot for a menial benefit.

is only while you are in tartarus. There is only an exception but I don't know if you want to be spoiled, I recommend you to do all the monad passages.
