Unless its a spinoff like Arena, they won't mention each other in their stories directly. But there are still little references, like a Rise poster in 5.
And Margaret mentions Elizabeth if you fight her in 4.
gotta be honest, i never touched the crossover games. Ill look into those when i have the chance
So how do they connect, Velvet Rooms?
It reflects the heart of the one who signs the contract, which is why in Persona 5 it was the cup room and all your party members were there too, right? Oh yeah, aforementioned lazy writing…
Don’t read into anything in Persona 5 as relevant to the previous games. It’s pandering and archetype copying to the point where they should have just called it Sequel 5.
In this same cycle of writing they also had Tartarus appear in Inaba, sooo…what are you really asking? How many plot holes are connected?
And also Yukari is also mentioned if you watch the TV in Lablanc on a certain day which I think is 12/2.
Those three full on have characters from previous games show up in the main story.
But 3-5 have neat references to each other. The connections come more in the sequel side games.
P4G is my favorite. But saying that 5 added nothing new to gameplay is just hilariously wrong. Just look at the dungeons not being randomized anymore. 3 and 4 all had randomized layouts, which work well. But 5 has actual level design.
1 Occured
2-1 (Innocent Sin) reset the universe... and failed at it because of
2-2 (Eternal Punishment) finished the reset.... setting the stage for....
3
4 has you actually visit the school 3 takes place in, so while no, the events are not DIRECTLY connected, they share a universe.
and the same with 5: where your pop star who's name illudes me right now in 4 continues to have a music career... and you see her posters about the place.

That’s actually the first game in the persona timeline.
