So far as I know, it fits the theme of the game. In P3, they summon Personas in the real world, unlike the TV World in P4 or the Metaverse in P5. They must feel threatened or in danger for a Persona to come out and help them, and the Evoker (the gun) is the tool to cheat it
Oh dang, it is??? I had no clue. I guess since its a video game Ill just shut my fat monkey lips and bow down as if it was a perfect decision to have them false headshot themselves every single ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ round. Whoever thought of that was beaming brilliant
It was cool/would have been coolest if they just did it once to face their mortality and inner self and got access to the persona, then had it... Virtually every turn is insane, especially with the same animations and whatnot. By far the most repetitive trope in all of Persona.
I dont think the act in itself is dumb.
Makes me really appreciate 4 and 5
you got those repetitive tropes in all modern persona games
You know, P4 and P5 have the same animations repetitive too, right? I mean, I've seen IT crush their card and PT rip off their mask to summon Persona countless times already
Oh, other games have the characters headshot every non basic attack? Which ones?
Same animations? Except I clarified we are discussing the head shot animation specifically, which is much more over the top than any other action in any persona title, and could have atleast been given some variance
Man, you have wasted your time OP.
I don't even know what you're talking about. You're dissing P3 and praising P4 and P5, even though these games also have repetitive action animations. You know all three of them are basically the same, just with more or fewer mechanics or features. Maybe I think you're just acting like a boomer who hates the idea of characters in the game pointing a gun at their heads during actions, or just acting like a idiot for clown awards
Too bad this game is not for you. You can go back to P4 and watch the MC crush the card over and over to summon Persona, which you said is not repetitive
I do agree the number of times you evoke this fear response over the course of actual game play is more than enough to give a person a heart attack 20 times over if you are actually making them fear for their lives but you have to realize that gameplay isn't representative of the actual story in that way. Cut out all the unnecessary encounters and grinding in your play though and then ask yourself how many times would the characters need to summon their persona to make it through critical story events?
Also as an aside if you are gonna cosplay a P3 character don't try copying what they do with blanks. They actually can kill at pointblank.
Yeah you diss Persona 3 where 4 and 5 have a similar but yet different ways of summoning personas.
You do realize that P5 has a more gruesome way of summoning a Persona than 3. The characters literally rips the mask off their faces drawing blood
Do you tire of phone calls from your relatives? Perhaps of your girlfriend who won't stop complaining about the things you don't care about? Does the thought of state bleeding you for your hard-earned money via taxes put you off? How about the thought of charity, giving to those too lazy to do anything for themselves?

Tired of unnamed existential pains?
Are you tired of living?

That isnt even what is going on... The evoker doesn't have bullets, its a symbolic action showing they've faced themselves. The personas are their inner self. They aren't injecting their inner self into their heads lol
