Was Junpei changed?

Hate this guy with passion (obviously not talking about the remake), in P4 I liked all characters and in 5 Morgana could go to hell but the rest is ok

He’s not Ryuji or Yasuke. He’s not the main character's bff or devote follower. He doesn’t exist to fall on a sword for the mc. He’s his own character. He wants the girl’s attention, he wants to be the leader.

The P3 characters are far less chummy. They’re friends but in a much more realistic way.

That's actually a very good observation. The fact that there is a lot more interpersonal drama in this game as well is more realistic to how a big friend group usually acts.

I did too. People are too hard on him. People need to realize that morgana has the mental age of a small child, he's acting much younger than the rest of the cast. If you actually look at him with that in mind then basically everything, he does makes sense.

This. Junpei is one of the best characters in Persona series. He has his own character arc, his own wants and needs, he gets into troubles by his own actions, grows and solves his own issues. He doesn't *need* you to progress. He uses you as a catalyst, because of the initial jealousy, but doesn't use you as a solution.

I adore Junpei for the same reason I adore The Nurse in P4. You aren't the main hero of their stories. They are. And that's amazing. In the world of player-sexual characters, that are flooding RPGs these days, Akihiko and Junpei are a breath of fresh air. Despite being a blast from the past.

Nah, Morgana just was way worse with nagging and "go to sleep, Joker!" in P5 than in P5R. There's pretty much no issues with Morgana in P5R, aside from the start of the game, when you are railroaded pretty hard.
