The persona 4 remake is apparently "years away", and hasn't even entered production yet. It's really strange to see, but either way I wouldn't count on it happening anytime soon. Persona 3 Reload took 5 years to develop, it would likely be similar here. Also Persona 6 has already been in development according to leaks, so that will definitely be first

Why does everyone want a persona 4 remake? Persona 4 golden is perfect as it is. Changing anything would only harm the game. Also, persona 2 remaster? This is already stupid enough. WHICH persona 2? Also why Persona 2 and not the first? Romours are romours but when you think about them a bit more than "OMG OMG OMG" you will notice how weird they are

P3R took five years to develop? How? Don't get me wrong, the game looks and plays fine enough, but nothing about the game ~10 hours deep says a competent and experienced team spent five years churning this out, even considering COVID complications to development timelines.

My take on P3R aside, I'm legitimately surprised there is any chance at all they would go back to P2. It comes from a simpler time in gaming where you could really do just about anything you wanted because the hobby was so niche it was unlikely to ever matter. Everything I know about that game highlights it as a bit of a landmine in the modern gaming landscape, and I figured that was why their focus had been entirely on the P3 - P5 era.

Persona 4 is much more sensitive to these woke crowd because the character arc of Kanji that is questioning his sexuality, that is his character arc, where he accept who he is..
Same with Naoto, in her work environment(police/detective) the female gender is seen as weaker than men, so she dressed and hide her gender but then she accepted who she is..
heck the whole Persona 4 theme is Truth or Facing yourself/shadow/the self you suppressed

I played it. Its a isometric RPG like game. Social LInks, Highschool simulator. NOne of that is present. If there not going to even modernize it at all..good luck.
