typing in japanese?

so i've sorta reached a problem in japanese version were i can't seem to type my name in japanese only english. anyone know how to do that in game?

I had this exact problem (I'm Japanese, but the OS is US English). I got this resolved by typing in another app in Japanese, and then copying/pasting into the game.

If you are using Windows, you need to have Microsoft Japanese IME installed. Windows display language doesn't matter. You can switch between US and JP inputs with the IME. Make sure it is set to JP / kana input before you start the game(Or tab and out to switch inputs).

This actually doesn't work in P3R somehow (worked in P5R). Only way I could get Japanese letters in game was to type outside the game, and copy/paste it in.

I didn’t want to change my windows language. If you have a Steam Deck it’s easy to bring up the kana or romaji keyboards. Then I went back to my pc and there it was. Not ideal though.
