Using your free time?
Is there a "wrong" way to do this? I mean as long as you are gaining courage, academics, ect?

Depends
I think going to sleep and going straigth to your dorm After school (this skipps whole time slot) are true waste of time.
You should also avoid spending time with you social links when game notifies you that bond won't deepen just yet. IIrc you shouldn't rush one link but most of the time answering their invitations since those give boost.

Sometimes it's unavoidable due to poor choices in pervious social link event so you should try picking good options and bring corresponding persona.

As for which stat gain should you is debatable - the best ones are movies and arcades supposedly

No there's no wrong way, it's just if you want to be more efficient or not.

99% of days you will want to be doing social links at day time. And social stat activities and dorm room hangouts at night.
Like 90% of social links are daytime only so doing anything other than social links at day time is a waste of time.

Also keep in mind that many social links are unlocked by getting a certain rank in other social links. So always prioritze social links so you can have one available each and every day.

Beginning of the game go to arcade (need to farm money because its expensive) and use the computer in the dorm lobby on days that you get the wrong games at the arcade.
once you have some ranks (i think rank 3 in courage and charm) in social stat you can get the secret menu in the restaurants that give even more points/ are cheaper than arcade.

When you go to tartarus, always go for the obstacle floor in 1 day. To be able to do this, buy SP items from vending machines every week (they reset sunday). And do as many social links as possible (you get 1 twilight fragment per social link rank I believe). You also get them from sidequests. Once you get to the second purple part of tartarus, you can find invigorate (3 sp per turn) and SP steal (20 sp absorbed from enemy) skill cards that will give you infinite SP on main character. I also found an invigorate accesory in a chest

For social links and class questions. try to answer them correctly so you dont waste time. You can rewind the game from the menu if you answered incorrectly. And make frequent saves in case rewind is not available
Social links, you need to think about what their personality is. In general try to be a nice guy.
Or just use a guide for the correct answers.

In class you can get the choice to sleep or to stay awake. You need high academics to get rewards for being first place on exams. So for that reason I always choose to stay awake. Need rank 3 for the first exams

It depends where you are - the S links are on an escalating scale so once you start getting towards the top end it's normal you might need more than one visit to go up a level; unless of course you use the temple or similar. At lower levels though odds are you either completely fluffed the last S link with that character or you just don't have a persona of the right Arcana.

It's not strictly speaking necessary; particularly as you get into the mid-game you're going to need to go back in at least once more before the next section opens up anyway. Generally you want to amass as much loot as possible before you return to save on the number of trips you need to make, and sometimes it's better to teleport back and re-do a bunch of floors than push to the end of a section (usually those where you've got a string of bosses close together, since those floors will never spawn new chests or golden shadows). Though also note the free boost you can get from the nurse the next day - sometimes it's better to do a Tartarus run, grab a bunch of extra cash and then get the free Courage boost the next day than it is to get the courage boost alone.

Only things you really need to be wary of is most school S-links will become unavailable for a period in the game (summer holiday) so they're generally better to push earlier (particularly those that unlock other social links, which you can do during the holidays), and both Hermit and Sun share a very limited availability so if you were going to prioritise any it pays to get Hermit out of the way sooner rather than later.

There's a few things to keep in mind to be efficient while still allowing for flexibility:

-Spend the day doing your social links, as the bulk of them are present here
-Spend the night boosting your social stats, as there are only a few nighttime links, and you can focus on them once your stats are up
-Only do social links if you have a matching persona. Having a persona that matches your social link arcana will give you a boost to point gain, without this you'll need multiple interactions to boost your rank.
