They either removed - or butchered - a key feature.
Can someone confirm you can no longer freely request split up and explore?

Rumors are that it's basically RNG after a battle. Sure hope not.

Yeah you can’t split up, but there is a chance for a party member to ask to explore a bit of the next floor.

That's...unfortunate. Thanks for confirming

tartarus could get extremely tedious, so splitting up to cover floors faster was nice

All the damn time. Grinding without having to do yourself, find chests without having to explore the whole floor, find the stairs while you get chests, etc.

I used it to bypass the fatigue system and force party members to stay after I teleport back. Ofc without fatigue I no longer need it, but it could be nice for other reasons already stated.

I used it a lot while money and item grinding, also makes xp grinding in lower floors actually worth it, overall it's a pretty underrated feature which gave the game some of it's identity. while it's not really needed anymore now that tartarus has been streamlined and been made more profitable it's still a little sad to see an honestly quite unique and very useful feature be religated to a rare random chance with a mediocre reward

I was wondering why I was struggling with grinding. Interesting.
