The nitpicks I have right now are that the environments are a tad blocky and undertextured for what I'd expect even from Persona, and the models make the characters' mouths look a tad too small while their cheeks are pronounced enough in the models to give the characters (esp. female characters) kind of a chipmunk face at certain camera angles. The last nitpick I have are the female vocals of the new music, which sound more Engrish-y than the vocals of prior Persona games. Just nitpicks though. My attitude towards P3R is positive overall ~
Imo, Yong Yea is a not a good VA. And yeah I noticed that too, the english vocals seemed more Engrish-y as you called it. Lol.
And yeah, the game so far imo is amazing. I haven't ran into any problems minus my nitpicks.
This. Akihiko's voice isn't bad, just sounds too old for the character. Yukari's voice lacks the weight it should have in some scenes, but I think that's more the fault of the directing.
The dorm lighting is blown out, shadowless, and flat. Every other environment has at least decent lighting (Tartarus lighting is fantastic).
The Japanese writing on papers in the environment is blurry, for some reason? It's not a big deal, but it bothers me.
I'm playing on 1440p and the animations and models in the menus look fuzzy and lack any antialiasing. The cutscenes, like during the awakening of Orpheus, also look fuzzy.
I'm getting fps drops during battles in Tartarus.
Some of the background npcs are really low res and distracting.
No choice for Clubs.
I am in borderless and it looks fine to me... I wonder if the resolution plays a factor. I am on 1920 x 1080.
I only have one questionable observation...

Yeah that looks so ♥♥♥♥♥♥ off, lol.
Would have been better if they kept it looking like they should be out of business.
theres a brightness setting in the game. I suggest turning it down between 50% and 75% depending on your preference and how it looks on your monitor. it makes a huge difference and makes the game more enjoyable to look at, not just in the dorms but everywhere in general, especially tartarus.
- yukari's VA didn't add the b*tchy tone to yukari's voice
- pharos VA sounds too old. kinda kills his creepy aura
- music is remixed well but tries too hard at times to be different
- alot of anime cutscenes were cut including what in my opinion are the two most important ones: the awakening cutscene and the contract signing cutscene
- some of the most iconic lines are delivered properly
- no equipment drops in tartarus (weapons and armor)
- some lines that didn't require a stat check now require a stat check
- stat level up requirements didnt change. getting maxed out knowledge is still as much of a nightmare to get as it was in FES (230 points)
- rare chests require keys now (twilight gems)
- character portraits are no longer displayed in all out attack
granted these are minor things that dont truly effect the experience unless your a die hard fan like me and start hyper analyzing the game. the average player probably wont care about most of this stuff (except the 230 knowledge, damn). the game has alot of great things that werent in FES like Maya now having a portrait and keeping her leet speak but thats not what this thread is about lol.
