Does anyone know why atlus is so intent on remake the persona series?

There haven't been any Remakes of Persona games, what are you talking about. There have been ports and versions like Golden or Royal which are just expanded versions of the base games but neither of those things are remakes

It's the first real remake of the Persona series

A while back they made a pool for a game player would like to see. P3 was in 1st place so it's not necessarly ATLUS remaking entire persona series.

I actually didn't know about the poll. That's something good to know but I would still like to play SMT: Devil Summoner again.

SMT may get a revival after all the personas are remade if they market it well also most people never got the change to play persona 1 and 2 me included

Smt is more niche in the west, and the west is where most of the game sales come from. You say persona 3/4/5 almost anyone into gaming will know of it, but you mention a SMT mainline game and they'll prob draw a blank.

Did you guys not play smt 5?? Like it was just a few years ago, it's not a dead franchise. We waited like 7 years for smt 5. Atlus just works on one thing at a time. The next project is metaphor.

Persona 1 and 2 have both been remade for PSP. Persona 3 Portable and Persona 3 Reload are absolutely remakes.
