70$ is only gonna hurt sales !
I mean if you sell a game for 70$ but only 1000 peoples can afford to buy it you made 70,000$

If you sell the same game for 60$ maybe 2000 peoples would be able to afford it, thus making 120,000$

And if you sell it for 50$ maybe 5000 peoples will be able to buy it, making you 250,000$.

I know it's just simple math here but increasing price is probably not the best way to make more money.

Would you prefer to make 70,000$ by selling 1000 copies or 250,000$ selling 5000 ?

My dude, if 10$ is enough to make you unable to afford a game, then you have other worries than video games.
It's fake outrage being generated by MS fans/Xbots shilling gamepass.
fk gamepass and screw 70$ games.

both are anti consumer practices.

also these people with the "it's only 10 etxta."

they will say it again when they push it to 80 then 90 and they will probably say the same when it hits 100, 110 etc.

"it's only 10 more."

draw a line in the sand.

If they had given all content from all versions of the P3 series it think it would be worth it but from what I've read there's some cut content and what seems to be removed content that they're going to add as a DLC.

I doubt it'll hurt sales unless the majority of gamers decide to be more frugal this year.

with the prices people have been talking about and shelling out for new pc builds and what not i think its safe to say that $70 isnt gonna hurt them much at all.

you'd be surprised. Most my purchases have either been super low sales or indie games with reasonable pricing and offering more content.

Same, but I don't have much hope when people I know go out and spend a good chunk on games and funko pops, but then struggle to afford food.

as someone who works a retail with the funko pops. those have been selling less and less, but coprate sends more and more so we literally call our backroom the funko room now.

surprised by what? they been having $70 price tag for like what 2, 3 years now. i think its more surprising that people think the majority of players cant afford games especially when it comes to having rigs that can run the games. honestly i really think people severely underestimate the amount of people who play games that look at $70 as just a drop in a hat. just looking at things from a broader perspective

Nope sales are NOT hurting on Steam because the game is the top selling game in the US and number 2 globally.
https://store.steampowered.com/charts/topselling/US
https://store.steampowered.com/charts/topselling/global

On top of it being Atlus' most successful launch ever on Steam with over 42K concurrent players. https://gameworldobserver.com/2024/02/02/persona-3-reload-42k-concurrent-players-steam-atlus-launch
So nope you are 100% wrong.

If you look on the web you can always find deals on steam keys if you don't want to pay the full $70 from reputable sites.

They know that people who can pay premium will pay it if they want to play the game. For those who can't they made a deal with Microsoft for game pass subscription that covers the poor people.

There are reputable key sites that sell for under 60.

OP, you used mathematics, you know that the trolls in the steam forum hate mathematics, because it proves their arguments wrong.

Incidentally, I would've bought this game on PS4 for my upcoming birthday if it was 60 dollars. Instead, I used that 60 dollars to buy 10 different games and 3 expansions.

Far more than 100 will buy it ..There are over 35K playing it right now. They know the proper price point believe me.

Quod Erat Demonstrandum.

Completely missed the point and took it intentionally literally. 35k at 70 dollars is 2,450,000. At the 60 dollar price point, they would only need to sell 5,844 more units to hit 2,450,040.
