Menu/UI element running at lower resolution
I think this issue needs some serious attention.

Currently, the menus, UI and many 2D aspect render at a lower resolution. They look very bad running at 1440p/4k. You spend a lot of time looking at these elements and they seriously hurt the quality of the visuals.

PS5 version seems to have all those elements being rendered at the correct resolution.

So, there was a similar issue in Tales of Arise that was fixed by the Arise-SDK mod.

Apparently in that game it was UTextureRenderTarget2D not scaling to your resolution. All the skits would look EXACTLY the same kinda low-res blurry as Personas and such here.

I contacted the author of that mod to see if maybe they could rework Arise-SDK for Persona 3 Reload (they're both UE4) but there's been no reply yet.

That mod used a dll to work its magic, but beyond that, I dunno how it worked or how they fixed it. If anyone knows how to get UTextureRenderTarget2D to scale correctly, that might do the trick.
other SEGA games like Lost Judgment and LAD: Infinite Wealth also have this issue

It sucks that I have more faith in mods fixing it than the actual company, but the fact it's UE4 and this is well-trodden ground does give me some reasonable hope.

Happens on the XSX version too, looks like only the PS5 doesn't have the issue.

Yeah I went over the post and this is basically exactly the same problem here that the mod fixed over there. I doubt ATLUS will fix this, a modder like above will have to go in and adjust it.
How did you force 1080p? When I try to set external/internal res to 1080p it just gives me a 16:10 resolution, e.g. 1920 x 1200. Trying to set the resolution using typical engine.ini unreal engine edits don't work either.
Guys, i also experience the same problem. I have a 1440p monitor and i can really notice the UI being rendered at a lower resolution, it's awful from ATLUS honestly...

I found a temporary fix that should apply to AMD users and also NVIDIA users (not sure about it tho).

For context, i have a AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT, with this video card you can use RSR as a temporary fix (Radeon Super Resolution, or should I say the Hardware FSR): basically the temporary fix is this: you select as a resolution in game 1920x1080 and then you activate RSR to upscale the entire game to the screen resolution (in my case 2560x1440), by doing so also the UI gets upscaled (it should be also possible using hardware DLSS, but i'm not entirely sure).

In the end, this is just a temporary fix, and we shouldn't be using this honestly. This is Atlus fault, if they don't release a fix, it would be horrible (I hope that they do release a fix, because this is a newer game that is almost on par with P5R...)

That's an interesting idea Yuki. Not too sure how to go about doing that on a Nvidia card unfortunately.

Yeah... we shouldn't even come up with this ideas, but Atlus decided to not do a great job in optimizing the experience at launch.
I hope they fix all of this soon (hopefully they do fix this, knowing it is a new "major" game in their franchise), because that UI (that is now in 3D) looks horrible with fixed resolution and zero antialiasing whatsoever.
Needs to be fixed, a game released in 2024 where the UI is locked at like 1080p? They spend so much time making the UI elements flashy and interesting too...
noticed the same thing. bought the game today (man its amazing same as 4 and 5) and even at 200% res scale the menus have no anti aliasing and look pretty bad :( hope someone finds a fix or atlus fixes this
Guys, did you find any solutions yet? I would really like to enjoy this game but the UI pisses me off so much...

No solution yet. If it could be modded I feel like it would’ve been by now. Really hope it gets fixed by the devs.

it definitely can be modded, we just don't have anyone familiar with the problem working on it.
Guys, sorry to bother you, i just wanted to share what my main problem is. First, take a look at this screenshots:

This are frames where there is a change in menus, for example going back from the settings, or from the Items menu, look at how the text gets incredibly pixelated.
I've noticed that this doesn't happen on PS5 or Xbox, nor on any other streamed that played on PC from Steam... I'm very confused because i tried everything: reinstalling drivers, downgrading them, reinstalling the game, change settings in Engine.ini, everything.

Now i want to share the settings that the game was currently running:
Resolution 2560x1440
Shadow: High
Render scale: 125%
Reflections: No
Vsync: on
Framerate: 120

Played on and AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT made by XFX

If you have some suggestions or opinions, I will gladly appreciate them, thanks in advance.
