Are the Persona DLCs cheats again?
P5R had these incredibly overpowered DLC Personas you could summon for free which completely destroyed difficulty so quick question before i buy is it the same here so i can avoid buying those?

If you actually read the titles of the DLCs they are just costumes.

The DLC are Cheats. I got a Level 89 Persona called Stanael.

Yeah that's not what i was talking about i know there are costume DLCs but there are also DLCs which give high lvl Personas from previous games.

Is it true? I sure am glad i refunded the premium edition and just bought the normal version instead. I hate it in P5R when they gave me access to izanagi no okami from the start.

really? haven't played yet because I'm still busy with LAD: IW.
however, a level 89 persona won't help much because you can not use it before late game anyways. either no mojo to cast spells or level restriction.

Yeah in general the actual Personas/Demons (for SMT games) in the DLC have usually been OP. If you’ve played P5 you’d understand that Satanael is the protagonist’s Persona’s final form and is something you don’t get until the final boss for one epic attack, and then you can make it in New Game Plus.

The good news is, if you wanted to you could just not summon them from the compendium and just save them for New Game Plus.

Personally however, I do not recommend buying them, since it can really hurt the overall experience if you opted to summon them when stuck on a hard fight instead of learn/level up.

Wrong. LV restriction does not affect summoning from the registry. And strength skills consume a % of total HP, not MP. The DLC personas are cheats. Do not use them if you want any semblance of difficulty.

Disappointing, but it sounds like you can just not buy the cheats this time around since it's not bundled as a complete edition.

Same models as 5 im aware but kinda sad there aren't others

Yes you can get Satanael, P5 Protagonists persona's awaken form. Yes it is free on the first summon despite the level being 89...but here's the thing, Victory cry, aka P5 Izanami no-Okami Picaro's free HP/SP skill is at the END of his talents...and as a level 89 that's ALOT of xp.

Does he give you high stats? Yes.
Are they gonna help against Gate Keepers/Bosses? Not if your using weaknesses.

Does he resist the core 4 elements? Yes

But he costs alot of SP to board wipe. So unless your paying alot of Yen to buy up SP items...I don't think your gonna have to worry.

TDLR, High Defense, useful as a tank to escape, have to earn the game breaking cheats.

I purchased all of the DLC personas and I can say that they are somewhat a bit of a cheat if you use them, but the downside of them is that their skills costs a lot of MP or HP to use so most of the time, they are either useless skill wise to get for free or by the time you get strong, you will have access to much more stronger personas that are arguably much better to use than the DLC personas. Sure, they can help you stat wise, but compared to P5R's myriad truths+ victory cry combo by izanagi no okami, they are not somewhat broken that can easily bulldoze the content in one go.

If you summon them without being of the same level then yeah; they're cheats because of their increased stats but you prolly won't have the SP to use their signiature attacks (unless they're physical in nature)

If you summon them at their level and not through fusion they're weak AF and any persona of the same name gotten through fusion will be 1000x better than summoning them for free

Easy and peaceful difficulty exist. And tbh why bother using DLC or high lvl persona without getting good skills?
MeldinX2 Feb 9, 2024 @ 2:55am
Yes they are if you summon the highest leveled ones at low level. Obviously a level 50 and above persona is going to be stronger than what you have naturally. However this said they are less powerful overall than in royal if you summon them at the same level as you are.

Even then, they are still pretty OP, since all of them have abilities to raise their elemental attacks by 75%, even the highest standard game personas only get a 50% increase in damage and you get that at level 20
