Better Ambient Occlusion?

How can I increase the ambient occlusion (ie shadows)? The dorm looks really bad lighting-wise.

Download reshade and look for GloomAO, play with the setting until you're happy. Look up some tutorials on how to use reshade if you're unfamiliar.

Did you drop "Background Brightness"?

I ended up using GloomAO, tweaked stuff and got everything looking great but it makes the dialogue boxes see through (mesh outlines can be seen behind them). Did you get this to work?

No I didn't, I don't want the game darker, just better occlusion.

crazy how the 2024 remake has worse lighting than a ps2 game, we can pray someone mods in RTAO or GI hopefully its possible since the game is built on ue4
