Is the Game Pass version any different?
Title. I'm really considering playing this game from Game Pass for PC instead of Steam for obvious reasons, which is the price. Is it worth it to save money?
(btw, I would easily beat this game in 1 month)

Seems it might have worse performance based on what I'm reading here, but otherwise, no it is the exact same.

I don't know. Just seems more people getting stuttering on the Game Pass version, but also more people have that version.

I was going to get game pass for Persona 5 Royal but they removed it from game pass and I bought it on an authorised game seller Gamebillet. I'd say get it on game pass as it is a shorter game than P5R and you get other good singleplayer games on game pass as well.

solid argument, I could play P3R and Palworld and save like 80 bucks

note on game pass: most games there are an update behind from purchased version depending on title popularity. in a business sense thats how they can convince ppl to buy the full/sale price game to get confirmed copies sold. this happened with palworld where gamepass was one patch behind vs the sold copy version.
short: consumer mentality whats you willing to deal with pretty much.

I've been using the Gamepass version for 5 hours, so far the only problem I find is the performance, which is quite strange.

The game was stuck at 60 at the beginning then drops, I lock it at 30 and it works fine then I randomly lower it to 12 fps and it stays stuck like that until I change the shadows from medium to low, and again to medium.

Something that I don't know if it is different from the Steam version is the configuration, in GP version you can only configure the % resolution and shadows, no texture quality and more graphic options

My PC can play with medium settings at 60 fps, but I'm forced to play at 30 fps and low. Intel 5 gen 10, 1650ti 4GB, 16 ram :AihoSH2:

Persona/Yakuza games were always on par with Steam/MS Store copies.

I'm so glad we get this on gamepass. Saves us 70 bucks. Other than the price tag it's a great game.

Someone said that MS Store version only supports Xbox gamepad buttons while Steam has all.

I've been playing the gamepass version on my old laptop (i5-7300HQ w/ 8gb RAM + GTX 1050). It's been running pretty well at 50-60fps @1080p on medium settings, slight stutters when loading a new area but otherwise completely great performance. The only tweak I did was to disable motion blur by editing the engine.ini file.

My only concern is that it runs the GPU near constantly at 70-100%, but my temps are stable so I might lower resolution or something to see if it lowers the strain..

Yeah I bought both Persona 5 Royal and Strikers for sale less than what Persona 3 Reload is going for retail price. And its hard to justify spending any game full price nowadays. Inflation my ass honestly.

It wouldnt make sense for anyone to buy any game on the Microsoft Store even if there is a discount on a game you like. Youre better off buying games on the two main stores Epic and Steam.

And the my switch xbox and playstation controller all work fine natively for Persona 3 Reload on game pass
