Actually I prefer the newer one... for some reason it comes across as warmer to me. I have the same with "want to be close" AND "Mass destruction" with me preferring the newer versions because of various reasons...
I swapped Mass Destruction and honestly felt like the original mix didn't fit as well in the remake, I just miss the old vocals :c
Maybe I'll change the second battle track to Wiping All Out or something
You can just change them?
Reloads version is pretty much directly lifted from the original with the instruments switched with worse mixing and forcing the singer to sing in such away that doesn't seem to suit her.
Also, if you have a source on those supposed changed P4G and P5R tracks, I'd like to see it, because adding new music isn't the same thing as changing old tracks.
I explained why and what I didnt like in my first comment. on the first page. i guess that was missed. I played persona 5, then persona 5 royal, then persona 5 strikers, and just finished persona 4 golden(f all the time and I got locked into bad ending). I cant say for the OG persona 4, because I only played p4g, but I cant remember any sort of remix in royal that made me think it was inferior to base p5. it was new. and some things I liked at first, others I gradually liked. Now if you want to talk actual remix, then you shouldve mentioned strikers. Which is in my opinion does have inferior versions of the songs. at least it had the same singer. but I had no expectations of that game anyway. I quit an hour in as well. and only came back years later just to complete it. I want to enjoy P3R. Music has a large impact on my enjoyment of a game. And because its a remix thats so close to the original, its going to be compared. Frankly, I hate it. Because I already have an expectation of how the lyrics will be sung. On top of that awful sound what I think is what people are referring to when they mentioned 'frogs'. ♥♥♥♥. Me.
There was an earlier comment linking to game banana. I havent tried it, but it looks like you have to change your ingame music in config to use the dlc music, which will be changed. From how I interpreted it only a select few will be changed, which is not what I want. In the same site if you go back to all mods theres a tutorial on changing the music yourself. It seems really complicated for someone new to modding. And you gotta download loads of stuff. There wont be anything more than that going public because of data mining revealing unannounced DLC that could include music. But I seriously doubt they will let you use the original
im using this
nvm it got banned lol
Do you still have the file for it?
Wait what? I never listened to the original version but I think the old vocals sound terrible. A lot of the og tracks seem very....experimental to me. The only old one I like more is Mass Destruction actually.
The old soundtrack gave a specific unique vibe different from the rest onwards which you sadly wouldn't understand since you only played reload which modernized some of these tracks and lost some of its charm. This was made like in what 2006? It's a product of its time.
Also game was much more bleak back then.
