Well I have never actually seen any Dragon Ball, I was agreeing generally as there are a lot of Japanese dubs I don't like.
now thats one of only a few examples i can think of where the dub beats out the sub
for og db the jp va fits but i don't think it carries to later series
the majority of the time the jp va just sounds better
especially in the case of funimation/ cruchy dubs crew
they have a total of 10 va's and they're in basically every anime
it sounds weird to hear natsu from fairy tail in 30 anime with the exact same voice
it really isn't that hard, though i will say anime dubs are better than they were a decade or so ago
i remember when you would watch an anime and basically every anime mc was voice acted by one of 3 people, the kirito guy, ichigo, or natsu
it actually made some anime hard to watch for me in dub
For japanese they keep the original voice actors, and they are very good
