For me, I need to consider the Deck, which from a cursory Google search can't play Gamepass unless it's streamed either from Gamepass Ultimate or a PC playing P3R locally. If GP worked on Deck, I'd grab GP in a heartbeat.

yeah thats completely fair, but maybe just play on GP for the entirety of p3re i dont see why spending $70 + dlc is gonna be worth it, they removed some stuff from the FES version on ps2 and are gonna resell it as dlc later on, if you like it go ahead and beat it on GP i guess (idk how dlc works on it though)

microsoft is planning to bring GP on everything in the long term, their plans leaked that they wanted to make their next console digital only with GP as an alternative. i assume GP is gonna come to steam deck eventually, not sure when though, kinda sucks its not on SD already

I used to think like this, but then I took a look at my library of 60€ games that I've played once and I'm never going to play again and I changed my mind.

I just don't see a reason wasting 60/70€ on something I will only ever play once, unless it's specifically from a company that I want to support or I collect games into my library.

On the other hand. If I do get an itch to play something I played on game pass 5 years later I'm probably going to find on sale and the overall cost of game pass rental + buying it at a later date is still going to be cheaper than getting it now on steam.
