how does pre order work

ive never pre ordered anything before can i download the game early so i dont have to wait on release day?

We have yet to find out if there will be preload (early download) for P3R yet.
My advice is to just check your library every now and then throughout the day in-case that changes.

it varies by game, but if you have fast internet and/or a sort of slow drive or cpu or something; the decryption/verifying process on pre-loads can sometimes be slower than just downloading it right when it comes out anyway

MOST games include a pre-load a few days earlier so you can enjoy the game instantly when it comes out, but not every game

Rest assured, SEGA games come with pre-load, at least Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth did, and my Xbox copy got preloaded back in November, so I guess it should be available here either today or tomorrow

depending on the game, some games give exclusive in-game preorder bonus and early access

but for Reload, there's no early access, but whoever preorder Reload will get P4 Golden BGM. This BGM won't available after the game release (except Atlus change its mind, but up to now they keep preorder bonus exclusive, Soul Hackers 2 and P5 Tactica preorder bonus still exclusive for those who were preorder these games)

Preload should be today (the 31st), although its currently midnight and no preload so it might possible drop later today or 9PM PST (using that specific hour due to it being the same time it releases on February 1st)

you'll probably be able to download it 24 hours before it comes out, so 15ish hours from now (according to game8.co)

My advice is to not preload at all based on all the other games that had it. The unpacking process is very slow. Elden Ring was the 1st and last time I preloaded a game on steam.
