I dont like it either but it was a throw away scene at best, just like the ryuji scenes in P5. let them have their cookie. in about a month they'll forget all about persona and move on to the next thing to be offended about. modders will pick up the slack and things will go back to business as usual.

I'm a die-hard persona fan with 3 FES being my favorite out of the entire series, Hell, I even modded a P3 fb page back in the day and even I didn't remember this scene until reading about it in the above kotaku link. That's how much of a throw-away scene it was. Nothing of value has been lost.

Yeah with me I don't care either way because of it being a throwaway scene. With Persona 5 Royal I didn't even notice that scene was changed because I was playing close attention to the added content.

Yes according to sega their localizers now can make changes in original japan script as well cuz games targeted at western audience. So if they don't like something it can be removed or "fixed" in original japan version too. They are influencing development of games under sega now.

Perhaps to you it is. However non-issues to some are indeed issues to others.
Everyone has the right to their own thoughts and opinions and the free will to choose what to be disappointed with.

In the OG it was literally a 30 second at most throwaway scene. Most people didn't even remember the scene until someone made it a controversy, that's how forgettable it was. Nothing of value has been lost, stop acting like someone shot your dog because you can't laugh at the trans lady anymore.

You are entitled to your opinion, but that doesn't make you entitled to say what writers can and can't write.
