Very saddened about the censorship...

With the game being in the wild and people playing it seems like they scrubbed an iconic beach scene and it's no longer in the game.

I'm almost expecting some western staff to now tweet about how they fixed the game and did everyone a favor by removing stuff, just like they did when they changed P5 Royal.

It was already bad enough that they added black blotches to Yukari on her flips, and now I'm dreading everything that's going to be poorly localized despite that notorious translator "not being involved".

Removing scenes isn't something a mod can fix, I don't think I want to buy this game anymore.

The beach scene is still in the game and now she is just a girl going on about conspiracy theories and as a writer myself I constantly change story elements, why can't game writers?

But I wouldn't call that scene iconic regardless of how one feels about it, it was totally forgettable NPC until people reminded me she was even in the game.

From what I've read they havent' censored any of the adult situations, shower/love hotel scene is exact same as well as suggestive dialog, jiggle and all the rest. The back flips haven't actually seen gameplay outside of trailers that confirms this in the full game - often they do censor stuff in trailers, demos, ect. im more worried about the bikini armor being changed or censored not back flips.

Per the comment badly translated, they've already stated the script is literally the same one from the previous game, it wasn't re-translated only reviewed for editing (ie there instead of their). I feel like there is this weird "fear" factor thats swallowing the internet right now both valid and a little mass panic taking over.

I can't imagine they would tbh, it was HEAVILY featured in dancing all night series as unlockables and kinda iconic esp. in Japanese media for the game. fingers crossed.

I don't like them changing things but let's be honest, that scene was never iconic and it's only relevance came from offended Ts like MutantBeth.

The reviews are up and it seems to be a solid 9, so if the lack of a 2 minute cheap joke is too much for you to handle it's your loss man.

If a scene was the same in three distinct releases of the game, and suddenly they changed the dialogue, knowing what the current cultural environment is, and knowing what they themselves admitted to in previous games, you'd be incredibly disingenuous to argue like that.

So for example lets assume they were like screw it, lets just forget about the original joke and just make her a girl on the beach making weird statements. Some people will be like, NO shes not what she seems to be. Its like pencils don't have erasers anymore and writers can't change character? So unless a developer now says this character is transgender, for all we know she is a biological female, its VERY clear they used a biological female voice actress, so to me that says more about her re-write than anything.

To add trailer censor part. If you look at all the trailers without being logged into youtube, you won't see any evokers being used if it doesn't require you to sign in. Its just how it is. This doesn't count re-uploads btw.

There are already articles talking about the scene being changed to the girl being a conspiracist and possibly being involved in a pyramid scheme.

It's funny because they're putting the devs in a situation where the only winning move is to not have a female protag, since they'll be criticized no matter what they do with her. I actually really liked the pink UI personally.
