Yeah Not sure on what you are talking about so far the New English Voice cast did a good job so far.

I will say that something about Akihiko's new voice doesn't quite sit with me. It doesn't sound right to my ears, but I imagine I'll get used to it after playing for a while.

They should've brought back the original cast just like how the Japanese cast were brought back. It's cringe

Original is always the only valid way to consume foreign media anyway. Original is how creators themselves created their art.
Why would any sane person use the dub in the first place? Makes no sense. If I wanted English, I'd consume something that was made in English. Dubs are always cringe for ANY foreign media.

As someone that grew up with the English voices for the Persona games I just can't play them any other way. PQ2 was kinda jarring to play because of it even. There's nothing wrong with the sub and I consume most other Japanese media in Japanese because I'm learning the language, but nostalgia keeps Persona English to me.

i only speak english therefore i will only watch media in english, if i wanted to read i'd buy the book version

While that is true for some stuff. However with Persona they always had pretty good English VA. However with other forms of media like with the Like A Dragon/Yakuza series it's recommended to use the OG Japanese voices. Like with the Yakuza remasters for example since they only had Japanese voices to begin with. I have done media with Japanese only Voices and I could never imagine how and English dub would go.

Hopefully someone create a voice pack mod to change the VAs - at least for the content that remained the same.

the yakuza dubs have been very good actually. except for young yea, the worst part.
