Anyone else wish they would have changed the shadows.
I wish they would have made then demons like in p5. Even if for theme they kept the overworld shadows but made the actual enemies demons. I know it's all the same in the end anyway but it was nice not seeing different variations of the same shadow the entire game. It was nice that different palaces had different demons

no, keep them.

When i want to fight shadow persona-like i will boot P5R, when i want to fight with chibi-like shadow i will boot P4G, when i wanted to fight cooler shadow animation simply boot P3R.

No

Maybe an unpopular take, but I like the creative liberties that them being something other than demons allows them to take.

There are many reasons to keep the shadows as they are. The most important reason is to keep the remake faithful as much as possible to the original game. Another reason is that it helps them in keeping the game more balanced than p5. For example in p3 there are shadows that are immune to all (or almost) magic affinities or physical affinities early on the game. If they used the p5 system then the player can obtain these op personas early and that would break the difficulty. They can make the shadows strong and nerf their persona counterparts but that wouldn't be fair imo.

Nope because back when P3 was made that's how the OG developers portrayed the overworld shadows to look like. You cannot change it because it would lose the nostalgia feel and what the OG developers did. I think the shadows in P3 are badass.

This is Persona 3, not 5. Go play that one if you want it to be like that

Nope

I really disliked how P5 handled the regular shadows
the persona and shadows are just some palletswap with a different name
and the way P3 and P4 explain it,, the shadows are a twisted version of the persona
I understand someone may like the idea of "we are fghting the same enemies as we are allied to" but it felt too pokemon-ish for me
I prefered out P3 and P4 depicted them as incomplete and overly exaggerated bi-dimensional aspects

why are you buying a remake if you want it to be exactly the same. go play p3p or fes instead. Its going to look a lot like p5. It makes sense why they kept it shadows due to the games theme. But after playing the various p3 and p4 versions over the years. The varying demons depending on the palace were just a nice change.

They never intended it to look like P5 in terms of graphics. They just took some mechanics from Persona 5 being the baton pass on top of other things. The devs wanted to remake Persona 3 but keep the soul of the original work. What you are asking for will take that soul away.

I actually like how they look in this game, I don't really care about accurate representation, and frankly it keeps me from knowing what's about to one-turn me due to bad luck.

why would you want a remake to just start doing random things?
it makes no sense to change it
imagine if they remade p5 in a decade or 2 and then replace all of the artwork with persona 4 style art
it would look weird for fans of p5, and people wouldn't like it
because it's supposed to be p5, not p4
these games have their own identity

I mean this design is going to look a lot like p5 part 3. They're bringing over gameplay elements. 6The reason it wouldn't make sense for a p5 remake to look like p4 is because you go forward not backwards(though i would love p4g's shuffle time). All the shadows correlate to something on the arcanum anyway. Theres no reason why it cant be shadows on the overworld and when you hit them they transform into demons considering its "the underworld". Pallet swap enemies aren't really a trailblazing feature that cant be changed or improved on. Balancing it would be tough though.

thats not how remakes work bro
the idea is to keep the visualstyle intact while modernizing the graphics and gameplay
im fine with gameplay going more towards p5, that makes sense, but changing how the game looks to be closer to p5 is a no no
p3 has it's own style, the shadows are a part of that
