They all agreed right before the Nyx fight that whatever happens at least they took a stand and all the other stuff. Then you got Yukari and Mitsuru out of the blue saying yeah lets bring male mc back and doom the world. Serously, I think that end game did damage her character. Then you have Mitsuru who should be acting as a older sister and guide Yukari. But instead she still feels guilty that her family actions are the reason Yukari's dad is dead so she is willing to go along with it for selfish reasons, too. Yukari was a ♥♥♥♥♥ to everyone even tho she was not the only one grieving for the loss of a friend. But she only though about her own needs and wants.
Adachi and Ken at least had the balls to try to stand up against the idea but were temporary killed / removed from their bodies after Aigis beat them. Speaking of Aigis, the whole reason behind her getting the fool power is ridiculous too from the beginning all the way to the end.
I could go on for ever but I feel like I'm rambling / ranting about it at this point. I'm not saying you do not have to like the answer but there is a reason that people hated it when it came out. Also, really did not need to know that the male mc is a door now to block Nyx. They could have come up with something better than door-chan.
For story, I think it was already unnecessary. Persona 3's story didn't need to continue after the credits.
I also really don't like the implications of the answer's story. In the original ending you could assume the protagonist died, but the answer implies that he's in some weird state of limbo where Elizabeth and possibly Aigis are going to "save" him. It sours the original ending.
I don't hate The Answer, but I do think it and P4A/U wrote narrative checks that Atlus isn't willing to cash. To put it another way, Atlus created expectations of continuity and care for their continuity that they haven't been willing to fulfill throughout the P5 era. If they were going to create expectations that the story of the P3 protagonist wasn't over, then they had a creative responsibility to meet those expectations. I would have rather they not made The Answer if they weren't willing to pay it off down the line.
