What the hell is ATLUS doing with the VOICE ACTORS?

Why change what's working? Akihiko voice actor speaks like a man is it 80 years, Mitsuru doesn't have that energy in her voice anymore, etc. I was excited for this but without a voice mod i don't think i'll play so soon

I usually try to use the Japanese audio dialogue with English sub whenever available. Hopefully, Atlus has this option like their other Persona games.

It will according to the store page. It has dual language support English and Japanese.

Well Atlus decided to go in a different direction this time and also some of the VAs were involved with controversies like with Junpei's OG VA being in trouble and Agis's VA had some hot takes involving vaccinations. Also Mitsuru's OG VA and the VA of the protag were busy doing Spiderman from my understanding. However they got Elizabeth's OG VA back which is a positive. Also F-u-u-k-k-a's OG VA wasn't even a professional VA when she was hired and was pretty terrible.

Yep pretty much what fender178 said. Honestly, I think the new voices are decent and the voice actors are excited for these roles. Everything I've seen as been positive. I do have some minor complaints but I'll wait till the game comes out. Either way, I do think the dub voices are a tad bit better than the originals for most of the cast that we have seen and heard.

It might not make sense to you. But in business, it makes 100% sense why they did it. Especially in this day and age with Twitter X and social media. People would lose their crap in a bad way if the the voice actors that they believe are problematic got roles or jobs. I do not agree with it but I understand it on the business side.

It might not make since to you. But in a business sense it makes 100% why they did it. Especially in this day and age with Twitter X and social media. ah okay sorry I guess I misread your post. My bad, yeah your have every right not to like it. Its sucks but thats how it is sadly. The japanese crew came back so you could always try the japanese voices for the game.

Well some fans of the OG Persona 4 would understand how you feel because they changed the voice actor of one of the characters when they did Golden because the OG one retired.

Like fender178 said, some of them were busy, while others were involved in controversies, so i don't get why you would think they are disrespecting the fans. It is what it is, no matter how good the new VAs are it'll always be strange to hear them. You'll get used to it, same way people got used to Chie in P4G and Igor in P5

It's not like i hated the new cast, Mitsuruand Yukari new VA are good, they just don't have the same feeling, the energy of a tennager is missing. To me it sounds like they are just reading (same thing as Zack Fair's new VA from FFVIIR)

Hmm, i think Junpei's VA is nailing the role too, but to each their own. I get your point tho, i just think 1:30 trailers aren't enough to convince me to love or hate these guys, and we should give them a chance.

Be quiet you have no idea how big of shoes that these VAs need to fill. On top of a few of these actors are pretty well known. So yeah C list VA my foot. Clueless.
