Is 69.99 USD too much for this game?

I'm hearing complaints that this upcoming game at 69.99 USD is not worth the cost, compared to previous versions of the game Atlus released.

What, in your opinion, would justify this price?

........it's too high, yet I get why companies are doing it. They could've made more profit if the game was $50-$60. It just games nowadays that are priced at $70 is either unfinished, unoptimized, or bareboned and need to pay more via DLC to complete it. Where things are getting tighter and getting squeezed day by day. There's so much ppl can take before they run to cheaper games down to free to play. I'm just going to wait for a discount sale even though I was excited for this game.

Edit: Oh yeah, the pre-order is now a scam to me now that they can "alter" the content at anytime. I'll do the pre-order ONLY for free-to-play games, NEVER $70+ games....I cannot trust that.

Nowdays when companies are making 70$ or some with ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up regional pricing 85$ standard, I buy keys from reseller pages or/and wait for big sale! With over 1.3k games in my Steam library I anyway have more games than time to play 😛

i see that alot, but not anything about how the original final fantasy 7 came out on the ps1 and it was 50 dollars on launch.

and the remake is 70 dollars on steam, and it’s supposed to be 3 parts, making it alot more if you’re going for all of them.

i feel like what i said shouldn’t justify the price but keep in mind its a Remake, not a port of fes or the original persona 3. i dont like 70 dollars games either because i can barely get 60 dollar games when they come out ☠️

About standard for a AAA with those discounts for me thankfully.

it's a classic persona game remade from the ground up that features just about 90-100 hours of content and replayability. It's up to you, really.

i just love persona 3 so much i'll give all my savings for it lol.

on another note games like persona is instead the only game i can see worth for $70, for its 100hours of quality time and replayability

This. These games are always packed with content and don't have intrusive microtransactions.

Lots of normally priced games are packed with content and no microtransactions, and this remake is still missing content from the original one afaik so that could easily become a microtransaction, not even including all of the cosmetics ones they already have up.

What content is missing from the original? And I don't think the downloadable content is considered microtransactions. They were clearly made with the intent of being DLC and aren't really comparable to the likes of NBA 2k or fifa indirectly forcing you to spend money to get a better experience in the game

All of the stuff from P3:FES is missing I assume, and the stuff from P3P.
And all those cosmetics items are virtual items being sold separately, they're microtransactions no matter how you slice it so whether you personally think they impact the experience or not is irrelevant.
For 70$ they really should just be included in the game already.
