And you dont need the shipyrads, cause fionas homeport can produce all the parts you need for the ships, so only London/Lisbon and Sevile etc are intersting
Fiona can make massive profit with her specialty, speed up the port development, while Marlene made shop ships dirt cheap.
My suggest if you want a long game (not speed run everything) is to develop Lisbon and Seville early, then flood the markets with the goods from those ports for easy money (as well as easy Ship of Line/Large Galleon, Ship parts, Jacob canes). After you get a Ship of Line, capture a tea clipper with Abdullah is easier than eating a cake (Tea Clipper sailing from Lisbon to Manila or vice versa btw).
So in your game Fiona's homeport can sell a crows nest for the SotL? I have finished her story but there is no crows nest in Reykjavik.
Clipper and Ship of Line build time are both 28 days
Tea Clipper is 31 days, they are unneeded product anyway...
Ariel and Cutty Sark are 39 days.
Purple SoTL build time are all 37 days.
If you see 28 days or 31 days, either cancel build or reload the game (Cost trading goods that you used as well as money that you spent, but you get all the mats back if you choose not to cheat with abusing save), max developed town have higher chance to build purple ship than under developed town.
If you lazy to get Crow Nest for SoTL... just try to plunder the NPC SoTL ships (Story fleets work too) Marlene and Abdullah have your back (But luck still needed). Same with other parts, just plundering around till you get load of them.
( or develop ports with the money you get from Fiona and Yun Mu special abilities... Getting 3~4mil per East Asia trip with a Stock Tea Clipper and 4 Stock L Galleon was unreal...)
End game Reykjavik is best ship building dock as they sell parts too, but at early game, Lisbon or London should be fine for develop for ship building (You can fast forward in those major ports as they have land zones.). Or any port that have both shipyard and post... Lisbon and London are just worth to develop early with their number of specialties goods that you can make money with.
You may see 28 days again and again with SoTL bp, but if you switch to Clipper BP, you will see it jump between 28 days for stock Clipper and 31 days for Tea Clipper till it finally show 39 days.
(Cancel build also work.)
