A few suggestions

nice game, I've been enjoying it. Just a few suggestions I hope can improve it a little more

1. a prize for maxxing Bar girls affection lvl
a picture would suffice, Julianne working on her next book, Sakurako watching sakura blossoms, or anything similar. At the present, there's nothing not even a line about how much they like our MC

2. make it easier to get a boarding action and duels
make it a toggle or some button with percentage. I never get the boarding / duel sequence I thought it was removed. I know it exists from reading the forum but maybe I missed something

3. Faction affinity lvl
this is a big gameplay factor so maybe it's too hard to do
the lack of factions affinity actually baffled me.
In Sid Meier's Pirates we could "help" one country, gaining favors
In Uncharted Waters we be wanted by one country
in here, you can invest in Lisbon, Seville, London, Istanbul all in the same price while these countries in reality are at war with each other. Heck, in 3rd chapter Andrew's story, Spain sent their fleets to harass him
Even as a pure trading game, factions affinity lvl would increase replaybility imo as investing becomes more complicated than putting money in and wait

4. Empty Eastern North American shore & Empty Russia shore
maybe Vladivostock is there I haven't explore that area yet but the empty spaces could be filled with some small cities
