Large Fuchauns from Japan/China area. I think it was Zhangzou(the one directly west of Nagasaki.), if you upgrade with a guild to max gives a chance to sell them in the shipyard.

What you want is to build the rare variant of the large treasure ships. Mine has about 46 or so cargo space.

Correction, 40 space per treasure ship - a patch fixed a cargo glitch. Anyhow, I probably used optional materials for the ships. The only thing that is certain is that I built them at the Chinese dockyards.

what materials did you use to build those ships?

I think that it was Blue-White Porcelain from China. This increases trade tendency, which apparently affects cargo space.

All variants of the Large Fu Chuan have exactly same stats and perks, they only change in name nothing else. And since it seems the Auxilary items impact the RNG of what you get you can make either a Huikang with Blue and White Porcelain, Changning with Katana or Anji with Gold or Ruby or any other item that gives all 3 tendencies, i know there are 2 more variants of this and one probably will be with Explore tendency, which you can get from Teak and Ebony Wood, but i dont know what the last one could be, maybe a variant from no auxilary items?

Easiest way is if you have Abdullah (as captain OR in crew) you can capture them. Usually find one fleet sailing near Malacca. Otherwise you have to get blueprint and you have to craft which is a bit painstaking.

If you develop Kolkatta or something like that, port in India (not Calicutt), you can make the fastes, as far as I know, ship Tea Clipper even win non-superior materials. It takes 35 days, as I remember, to build it.

Got a tea clipper today in kolcatta. Took 55 days.

But it has too few rooms imho. A good ship of the line is more versatile while also being fast (though of course not as fast)
