You can then cancel it, then sail out for a bit, you might need to get back into the port then come out again to trigger it.
for anyone else having issues with this one, its a bit convoluted.
1. Get a chest from a merchant in Benghazi and deliver it to Antwerp
2. Go to hamburg (no indication in game that I am aware of) then drink at tavern till you pass out (4 drinks I think)
3. Cut scene occurs and you get a deed for a ship in Lubek.
4. Go to Lubek, Order a Ship (this is expensive and you need to bring ship parts, Plymouth is the closest place for ship parts).
5. After placing the order you get a cut scene.
6. Leave Lubeck and you should get attacked by 2 pirate ships. BE READY! this a forced fight and you can lose!
7. When you win the fight, final cut scene and Dietlinde joins.
8. after Dietlinde joins you will get another cut scene later (just happens after a time) about the Ceaser Coins which is a separate quest line.
