Any idea where special rigging is ?

I know it needs to have nearly maxxed ports, but I maxxed 2 or 3 already and found oars.

Bounty quest

Most high end stuff you must aquire through boarding of ships that use these stuff, oars are galleys so Istanbul, Venice or Japan are areas for ships with oars. Look at the picture a bounty quest gives you, this is the flag ship, so if the picture shows a galley, its a try. Use on all ships shrapnell guns for bow, use high castle at stern for boarding help, use AI Captains that prefere boarding and get the ships seized. Good luck

Ummm, yeah, that's an option, but it's very random. Also I'm kinda looking for this stuff in order to farm the high difficulties quests.

However, ship part stores actually sell those parts once maxxed, just, not all of them.
Any idea where one of this is, for the "special rigging" ?

I maxed out Lisbon and Plymouth. Its not there. Trying south Africa and Venice next.

In the chinese translated source i got somewhere from the discussions it doesnt has any special rigging in any port. only thing close to it i see is Custom rigging and those are in Aden and Buenos Aires. Might be a translation error so i would try one of those

Translation is probably custom rigging yeah. And I got another guy on the forum stating that it's in aden too, so it's consistent.

My aden is at "800" level or so, not maxxed, but it has special oars, not rigging.

yeah it has that too, but is it at 40K population too? thats the requirement to unlock more items

I had 40k population too, but I'm not sure that the ship part shop depends on "more item" guild building. It gets small, large and reinforced mast, canvas and so on at 400 or 600, superb at 800 I think ?

Not sure about the numbers.

And here it is. I think it needs 900 tech. Not sure, but that's what unlocked it for me.

I just beat the game with Shimazu. In it I upgraded
Trieste Mozambique Tunisia Goa Seville Hanyang and Plymouth.
Finished the game with Ships of the line, but never saw the special rigging. So I assume boarding square style ships or Aden is the only way.
