I see that its a unity game so hopefully its moddable
edit
checked it out and all the .bundle files are encrypted, that might be a small setback
(if not just to add myself in like I did in uncharted aters online)
Would be awesome to see fanmade variants of ships for example.
that's mainly due to the reputation of some modders out there (concerning other games) going stupidly overboard and probably creating a sloop or caravel carrying 20 guns, 100+ cargo , 40 crew positions and doing 60 knots out on the water. and that would make it literally pointless to even play the game anymore since that would be just about having one ship ready to crush the entire spanish and portuguese navy combined and rip through a full fleet of top tier battleships like a knife through butter.
thanks but no thanks.
To my best guess the game was written/compiled in the Unity game engine or some variant of it, so it could be worth taking a shot at looking in various game coding forums or developer forums here and there to see if there is any way to get this done.
I'm almost completely oblivious to source coding or file compiling myself, but there may be a few tech-heads around who could help you out on that one.
