split screen does not work

Split screen doesn't seem to be working when one player is on controller and another player is using keyboard and mouse. My gf is on keyboard and mouse and whenever she moves her mouse she can only control my character instead of hers. Is this a bug or does it have to be two controllers in order to play split screen coop?

This issue is still happening to me, split screen flat out doesn't work. Since release this game advertises "seamless local co-op" but it flat out doesn't work. this issue should be fixed ASAP.
