Great question.
Cel shading is about as basic as it gets when it comes to graphics. It's pretty much all rendered by the CPU, NOT the GPU, which means that there just isn't a whole lot to change. It is just colors wrapping polygons; no textures, baked-in lighting, motion blur looks weird as hell, the list of options that you CAN have in a cel-shaded game is pretty small.
That said, we do have a few things in the works that will be updated with patches, and are already working on DLC stuff for down the road.
Again, great question.
First, thanks for a decent game and infinite ammo. Just needs some improvements, IMO. I'M just a 62 Year old gamer that loves video games.
Just a few things that I've noticed that really needs attention. I've played 28.3 hours so for at time of this review, so I think I can review now.
1. Can't reload while walking or running.
2. When you use focus it locks only on Large enemies.
3. While holding focus you can't turn left or right or switch to different enemy.
There can be 5 small enemies right in front of you but focus will lock on a large enemy 20 feet away.
4. You can't aim/focus to shoot at small enemies, just large.
Oh yeah, can we get a map ?
I do recommend this game, just needs some attention payed to fixing these problems. I'm sure there's more from other gamers.

but here are my few minor complaints about the game so far (even if I was not asked):
- a minimap would be cool (just to find that last door I did not open in the level)
- fix the bug that turns the tutorial messages on in the options when restarting the game
- fix the bug that turns the Hellboy Hp buff off when collecting the first toughness/hp boon
