I guess it is intended to make him "comic-like". But looks crappy, yes.
I also noticed it smoothed out during combat. I have no idea if this was a placebo, but i only noticed it when walking around.
While i can see that some don't appreciate this, i personally love it and think it was a fantastic decision that ties in with the comic book style.
People have different preferences (like some people have a melt down if chromatic aberration or grain noise is added to a game). I'd like to see it as a toggle vs something that is completely removed.
an option to turn it off would be great.
Go to "Game Options" >> and check-box "Motion Smoothing"
